We Are, Too
Okay, this one was a hoot. (Please peep the repertoire list of all the “two” works.) Friends, our world is obsessed with winning; so much, in fact, our nation may or may not have elected a president due to said obsession. And let’s get real… we band people aren’t immune from this obsession with winning, either. But, goodness, do people NOT enjoy talking about this subject! It is so vital to love the process more than the prize. If you can’t tell by my soapbox speech, this show certainly breaks the fourth wall and speaks directly to the audience. No, second place is not the “first-place loser.” However, if you live your life with integrity, respect for others, and with a value of hard work and the competitive spirit, you’ve already won.
